Tamika Grant-Iramu
Fragments: A Virtual Environment

8 May - 6 June 2020

Onespace is very proud to present its first ever solo show by represented artist, Tamika Grant-Iramu. This marks another significant milestone in her already impressive career, which has seen her receive an individual grant from the Australia Council for the Arts, collect a Westpac Emerging Arts Award at CIAF 2019, and be acquired by both prestigious institutions such as Griffith University Art Museum and by major private interstate collectors.

Gallery Director, John Stafford said “this online exhibition, was an innovative and important partnership opportunity, seized by both Onespace Gallery and the Redland Art Gallery, due to the postponement of Tamika’s scheduled Redland exhibition as a result of the restrictions brought in by government to manage the COVID-19 pandemic”.

“Tamika has worked so hard bringing this body of vinyl-cuts together for Redland, it seemed such a shame to wait for another year to experience them”. “We were delighted that Redland were eager to partner with us in generating a selected online preview in 2020.”

“We sincerely congratulate director Emma Bain and her team in being so responsive in enabling Onespace to deliver this preview in an online platform prior to the entire show being physically experienced at Redland Art Gallery next year”.
