Marking the close of the Year of the Fire Horse and in celebration of Onespace Gallery’s 10th birthday, our final exhibition for the year is Holding Time, a group exhibition curated by Gallery Manager Demi Conrad.
Measured in seasons, generations, and histories, time shapes our existence, our identities, and our environments, yet it remains intangible, impossible to hold. Exhibiting artists Dean Ansell, Rachael Bywaters, Elisa Jane Carmichael, Marian Drew, Sam Harrison, Tamika Grant-Iramu, Sebastian Moody, Elysha Rei, Brian Robinson, and Prita Tina Yeganeh respond to the multifaceted nature of time: what it signifies, how it informs their experiences, and how it might be rendered visible or tangible.
The artists approach time not as a singular or universal measure, but as a personal and subjective encounter. Holding Time explores the differing perceptions each artist holds of time, highlighting how every person, culture, and community experiences its elasticity in unique ways.
