Onespace Gallery is delighted to present the impressive work of two Queensland’s finest photo-media artists, Kim Demuth and Henri van Noordenburg. Their joint exhibition is entitled tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow.
Their exhibition was first shown at Pinnacles Gallery in February/March 2018 and has now travelled back to Brisbane for its first showing here. It is another example of a co-operative project and exhibition programming that Onespace Gallery has undertaken with regional galleries and arts organisations including Kick Arts Contemporary Arts (Cairns), Canopy Arts Centre (Cairns/Kuranda) and now Pinnacles Gallery (Townsville City Council).
The two high-calibre bodies of work presented by Demuth and van Noordenburg are distinct but connected by shared sensibilities, their family and personal histories, their concerns for global volatility and climate change, and their intentional manipulation of the photographic medium. As catalogue essayist Virginia Rigney notes:
