Now Representing: Sam Harrison

November 14, 2025

Onespace is delighted to announce the representation of artist and curator Sam Harrison.

Based in Brisbane, Sam has cultural connections to the Kamilaroi and Wiradjuri peoples of Central New South Wales. He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting) at the Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne, in 2018.

Since graduating, Sam has worked across multiple creative roles — as an exhibiting artist, curator, artist assistant, and arts educator for young adults with autism. His practice engages deeply with the idea of Australian identity, exploring how art can shape inclusive, healthy, and enriching urban environments.

Sam’s work unfolds across three key areas: drawing from historical and contemporary resources to reimagine how we interpret the national story; fostering dialogue about who and where we are as a diverse yet interconnected cultural collective; and envisioning the possibilities of an increasingly connected, mobile, and global future.

2025 has been a standout year for Sam. He has presented two major solo exhibitions — Letters Home at Onespace (Brisbane) and Fair Dinkies at Outer Space Gallery (Brisbane). He recently completed an artist residency with proppaNOW in West End, where he developed a significant series of charcoal-on-canvas works. He was also awarded a Highly Commended in the Sunshine Coast National Art Prize (Caloundra, Queensland) for his work ‘Born Here, From There’ (2025).

Onespace looks forward to supporting Sam’s exceptional practice and to collaborating in its continued growth in the years ahead.
