Successful public art commissions benefit from effective business cases that scope the project clearly for all involved, including potential partners. We assist commissioners to shape a business case for their public art commission which outlines key elements such as: community or corporate vision, governance arrangements; site context including place and Country and urban planning considerations; key themes; commissioning methodologies and budget parameters including funding partnerships.
Artwork Opportunity Reports
High quality art projects are achieved through rigorous curatorial strategies and commissioning methodologies. Our strategies and opportunities reports ensure the artist’s creative ideas align with the vision and objectives of the commissioner.
For each project, we develop an overarching curatorial framework comprising vision, rationale, and themes. Our framework identifies artwork opportunities and types, determines priorities and delivery methods, including suitable commissioning methodologies, public art procurement processes, artwork budgets, and program implementation parameters.

We develop an overarching curatorial framework comprising vision, rationale, and themes. We see our curatorial role as articulating the concept/s behind an artwork commissioning framework for the benefit of user-groups, stakeholders and citizens. Our curatorial rationales are used specifically to drive the selection of suitable and relevant artists and to commission site-specific and project relevant artworks that reflect the client and architectural vision for the project.
Artist Selection and Briefing
We draw upon our extensive knowledge of local and national artists to provide the most appropriate range of suitable artists for each project. We select artists who have a conceptual alignment with the project through materials, relevance of scale, or potential to scale up for the opportunity. We maintain all liaison with commissioned artists until handover of the artwork occurs.

Our design services are provided by proficient professionals with substantial industry and artist collaboration experience. We can manage design projects from concept visualisation services through to production ready files.
Artwork Production
We have developed a high-quality capability in specialist and tailored fabrication and installation solutions for artwork production. We work with trusted and experienced fabricators to effectively and sensitively realise art projects to ensure successful outcomes.
Project Management
We support artists and commissioners through comprehensive project management from conceptualisation through to design, engineering, risk assessment, fabrication and installation, and public interpretation material.
We use proven program management and budget strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. During project initiation, we develop artwork commissioning programs that align with design and construction programs, meet key milestones, and adhere to project critical paths. We also create detailed budgets to manage and track our clients’ budget allocation from initiation through to installation and handover.
