Onespace proudly presents Baylee Griffins exhibition, The Space Here, in the Lounge Gallery. Based in Gurrambillbarra (Townsville), Baylee Griffin’s ceramic practice is grounded in resilience, reciprocity and an embodied eco-centric philosophy. Working with locally sourced materials, Griffin explores the interconnected relationships between people and place, allowing the qualities of the land to shape each work. In this latest body of work, Griffin’s practice expands to explore sculptural forms inspired by meteorites and Australian flora, informed by their recent residency at La Wayaka Current in Chile. Through these works, The Space Here reflects on the subtle relationships between landscape, material and the spaces we inhabit.
