Onespace is very excited to announce that Prita Tina Yeganeh has been awarded the 2025 Outer Space and Composite Moving Image Commission.
Prita’s work is grounded in her lived experience as a refugee-migrant settler. Her work is informed by deep research and respect for heritage crafts and environmental systems. Her art practice spans installation, prints, and textile works, and is characterised by sensitivity, rigour, and a profound sense of care. She utilises socially engaged methods to explore the emotional and physical geographies of forced migration.
The Outer Space commission offers a timely opportunity to support the development of Prita’s moving image practice. Her proposed commission will be deeply personal and politically resonant. It will use the act of learning a Persian recipe as a lens to examine transgenerational knowledge, the fractured intimacies of lives lived across borders and the resultant diasporic grief.
